2nd International Girls in ICT Day in Mauritius
During this 2nd edition of the International Girls in ICT Day in Mauritius, which will take place on Thursday 25 April, the spotlight will be on the valorisation of experiences in promoting :
- the exchange of experience between career professionals and those who are starting out or wish to move into the digital sector, such as female students,
- Exchange of human resource practices to enable better integration of women in the ICT/BPO sector.
Objective of this celebration
For the organisers, who are representatives of employers in the sector, the aim of these activities is to promote women’s career paths in the sector, to identify ‘role models’ and to encourage other young girls to follow in their footsteps by opting for scientific courses or career opportunities in the digital sector. The event will be a great opportunity for exchanges between professionals and non-professionals, as students are also invited to attend! This event puts Mauritius on the international map of women in ICT as it will be relayed on the IUT channel dedicated to celebrating Girls In ICT Day.
Registration is open until April 16
Entries are open to employees in the sector and students in science, engineering & IT streams. Registration for the workshop is still open and will close on 16 April 2019. Alternatively, if you would like to support this initiative to expand the employment pool by encouraging more people to collaborate in the digital sector, the organisers are offering visibility.
