Discover Madagascar through its eductour. Launched last November, during the Enjoy Madagascar trade show, the official partner of the eductour is Air Madagascar. This initiative by the country’s national tourism board aims to provide online training for travel professionals.
An eductour for travel professionals
Travel agents and tour operators will now be able to develop their knowledge of the Big Island through e-learning. Indeed, the ONTM launched last November a tour, called Enjoy Madagascar. This online training course is designed to enable professionals in the sector to fine-tune their knowledge. Thus, from November 21 to 27, travel professionals from various international markets were able to take part in this eductour. Air Madagascar was the official partner and carrier.
A 7-day program from Tana
Thus, the visit of the Enjoy Madagascar exhibition was followed by a discovery tour. Concerning the program of the éductour, it includes 7 days, from Antananarivo. The participants will stop successively at Ranomafana, Ranohira, Tulear and Ifaty. This will allow them to have a first approach of the landscapes of the red island, but also of the warm welcome of its inhabitants. As stated by the ONTM, the idea is to give participants the opportunity to learn about “the island of treasures and learn more about the sometimes unknown tourist assets of Madagascar.
An online training course with a trip at the end
In addition to taking advantage of the online training, the luckiest participants could win a trip. Scheduled for June 2019, this will be an international eductour as part of the Tourism Fair Madagascar. In addition, the e-learning Madagascar includes 5 modules, which are as follows:
- Module 1: Practical information
- Module 2: The regions of Madagascar
- Module 3: History, culture and events
- Module 4: Fauna & Flora
- Module 5: Sports and Activities
A rather complete program, including a manual available online.
2019: strengthening the knowledge of professionals on the island
To say the least, the Big Island is starting 2019 offensively. Through the tour, the tourist office wishes to train the sales staff on the five aspects mentioned above. The sales manual is already available on the e-learning Madagascar website. Available in PDF format, it contains 53 pages. Published by the National Tourist Office, it aims to highlight the tourist assets of the Big Island. The latter, which are little known or exploited, should be highlighted, as well as the activities that can be done on the island and contribute to its development. Where the travel professionals will come in is by recommending the island with all the information provided in the sales manual.
A complete guide available free online
This comprehensive guide lists all the useful and practical information on the red island. Moreover, the fact that the training is offered as an e-learning course makes it accessible to all participants, especially since the sales manual is available free of charge. A first step, then, to strengthen the knowledge of professionals in 2019.
