{"id":28773,"date":"2021-04-23T15:21:06","date_gmt":"2021-04-23T11:21:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ict.io\/press-release-webcup-competition\/"},"modified":"2021-11-16T19:31:13","modified_gmt":"2021-11-16T15:31:13","slug":"press-release-webcup-competition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ict.io\/en\/press-release-webcup-competition\/","title":{"rendered":"Press Release: Webcup Competition"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">OPENING OF REGISTRATION FOR THE INTERNATIONAL WEBCUP 2021 COMPETITION<\/h3>\n\n<p>After one year of absence, due to COVID, the mythical <strong>WEBCUP competition<\/strong> which gathers the 7 islands of the Indian Ocean is back on May 29th and 30th.<\/p>\n\n<p>A <strong>24-hour challenge to develop a website<\/strong> in teams of 4 maximum with a common topic that will be unveiled simultaneously on all the islands of the Mascarene trapezium: <strong>Comoros, Madagascar, Mauritius, Mayotte, Reunion, Rodrigues and the Seychelles<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p>For this new edition, the mechanics established in 2010, date of the very first competition, remains unchanged but <strong>the format is revisited with, this year, a 100% online opus<\/strong>!<\/p>\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><strong><em>&#8220;Bringing out the talents of the Indian Ocean<\/em><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n<p>Now a <strong>key event in web development<\/strong> in the Indian Ocean region, this competition gives participants the opportunity to showcase their skills, while building a regional business network.<\/p>\n\n<p>During these 24 hours of non-stop creation, programmers, designers, content creators, project managers, students, professionals or simply web enthusiasts will be able to challenge each other from the start of this &#8220;diagonal of the web&#8217;s fools&#8221; with the launch of a video introducing the imposed subject common to all the territories.<\/p>\n\n<p>At the end of this regional round, a team from each island will be chosen by a jury of web professionals: fullstack developers, designers or web entrepreneurs who will elect the best site on technical, aesthetic and UX criteria.<\/p>\n\n<p>The winner from each territory will then be entered into the international final at the end of the year.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Registration is open for Reunion Island!
