Capitalising on the success of the previous Leadership 4.0 editions organised since 2017, the 6th edition of the Leadership 5.0 Masterclass organised by Team Synthesis (Mauritius and Africa) will be held on 22 October 2021. It will bring together international speakers, partners and Industry 5.0 practitioners from Europe, Asia, Australasia and Africa.
This hybrid format Masterclass will host virtual and in-person participants from around the world in Mauritius at the Ravenala Attitude Hotel on Friday 22 October 2021.
The focus will be on sustainability, through the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and resilience (pandemic recovery). This 2021 edition of Leadership 5.0 is supported by the University of Technology Mauritius (UTM), the University of Mauritius (UOM), the Mauritius Research and Innovation Council (MRIC) and Harel Mallac Technologies (HMT).
The Leadership 5.0 Masterclass draws on the expertise and implementation experiences of local and international speakers. It is aimed at decision-makers and senior managers (C-level) and is expected to attract leaders from the public and private sectors from all continents.
According to the organizing chairman, Chee-Peng TAN, the CEO of Business Technovise International (BTI) Group and Team SYNthesis (TS), ” The current pandemic is forcing organizations to digitize to remain competitive, virtual transactions are accelerating and with it Industry 5.0. In this dazzling dynamic, it is imperative for Leaders to opt for an avant-garde approach that integrates the 5.0 challenges now to gain competitive advantages ».
The Masterclass 2021 specifically focuses on the responses to Industry 5.0 challenges through 15 carefully selected case studies covering four key focus areas, namely Strategy 5.0, Process 5.0, Technology 5.0 and Human Capital 5.0 and will be led by international C-level speakers. The 4 roundtables, each moderated by UTM, UOM, MRIC and HMT, will bring together 16 market influencers to discuss local and international SDO progress.
The objectives of this action-oriented masterclass are to:
- A deeper understanding of the impact of Covid 19 on accelerating the impact of Industry 5.0 on businesses, governments, societies and individuals in Mauritius, Africa and globally,
- better understand the challenges of Industry 5.0, which places the human being at the heart of digitalization compared to Industry 4.0,
- Training in Leadership 5.0, a prerequisite for developing leaders by leveraging collective leadership to leverage well-being and diversity to achieve superior performance.
These goals will be addressed under four themes covering all the SDGs, namely sustainable and responsible growth (‘Growth through Care‘ – MDGs 8, 9, 17), the shaping of an environmentally friendly and resource efficient living environment (‘Light is Might‘ -ODD 6, 7, 11, 12, 14, 15), inclusive, equitable development based on good governance (‘Burden of Privilege’ – MDGs 5, 10, 16), a globalization that integrates the well-being of the planet and of the Earth’s people and is motivated by a desire to redress contemporary imbalances (‘Merging Might with Right’ – ODD 1, 2, 3, 4 13).
Finally, this masterclass will also be an opportunity to network and exchange with experts and leaders from different backgrounds.
We encourage you to be ahead of the curve in understanding the devices that can provide you with competitive advantages by attending this conference on October 22, 2021.
