The National Computer Board (NCB) is organizing the 24th edition of Infotech, which will take place from November 30 to December 3. This annual technology event will be held as usual at the Swami Vivekananda Conference Center in Pailles.
Are you passionate about technology? Would you like to make a career in the field of ICT (technology, information and communication)? Infotech 2017 is the event not to be missed. This major annual gathering of the technology world will take place over four days, from November 30 to December 3, at the Swami Vivekananda Conference Centre in Pailles.
Behind the organization of this event is the National Computer Board (NCB), in collaboration with the Ministry of Technology, Communication and Innovation. The aim of the show is to give more visibility to new technologies, to introduce the world of developers to the Mauritian society, especially to entrepreneurs and students to eventually introduce them to the world of technology.
Like every year, this event is highly anticipated by companies operating in the ICT sector, but also by those seeking employment in the field. This exhibition is the flagship event of the technology sector in Mauritius and more than 100,000 visitors are expected to attend. With this exhibition, the NCB offers the opportunity to exhibitors to benefit from a free space, so that they can address directly the public. Infotech 2017 will highlight robotics, virtual reality, 3D printing and other areas related to computing and technology. The exhibition will host a number of companies such as HTC, the MIE, the University of Mauritius, the Global Rainbow Foundation and AppEase Informatics Ltd.
The general public is therefore invited to visit this major technology exhibition in Pailles on 30 November, which will open its doors at 10 a.m. In addition, two conferences are scheduled for Friday, December1 and Saturday, December 2, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in one of the center’s rooms.
To facilitate and encourage bus ridership, free shuttle buses will be available from Victoria Station in Port Louis and Margéot Place in Rose Hill.
Admission will be free and the show will be open Thursday, November 30, Friday, December1, Sunday, December 3, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday, December 2 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
