A partnership signed between Orange Madagascar and APM

The Association of Pharmacists of Madagascar (APM) and Orange Madagascar, have signed a partnership agreement that will facilitate the daily life of Malagasy pharmacists.

Enhance APM’s communication capabilities

Orange Madagascar signed this Thursday, April 21, 2022 a memorandum of understanding with the Association of Pharmacists of Madagascar (APM). Thus, Orange Madagascar will support the APM, especially in terms of connectivity. This should enhance the communication capabilities of the company, which will be supported in the renewal of its member directory, as well as in the deployment of its communication tools. The goal will be to improve connectivity among local pharmacists as part of the company’s social responsibility.

“Through this agreement, Orange Madagascar fully assumes its responsibility to nurture social ties and bring the benefits of new technologies to as many people as possible. Orange Madagascar will thus support the APM, notably in terms of connectivity, which will improve its communication capacities, and will accompany the Association in the renewal of its members’ directory, as well as in the deployment of its communication tools, said Orange Madagascar, after the signing ceremony.

The Association of Pharmacists of Madagascar was founded in 1986. Its objective is to support pharmacists in the development of their profession. It provides a structure for continuing education and training assistance for pharmacists and sales assistants. APM also carries out projects and reflections contributing to the development of the pharmaceutical profession, with the support of the Order of Pharmacists, an independent institution that groups together all pharmacists practicing their art throughout the territory, as well as the Union of Pharmacists of Madagascar. On the other hand, Orange Madagascar, is a major player in the Malagasy economy, and a leader in the telecommunications sector. The firm also operates in voice, internet, enterprise solutions and mobile banking with Orange Money, launched in 2010.

Orange Madagascar continues its social commitment

It is important to note that this agreement was made within the framework of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR): a concept in which companies integrate social, environmental and economic concerns in their activities and in their interactions with their stakeholders. In addition to connectivity, Orange Madagascar will therefore fully engage with APM in the implementation of high social impact projects such as the collection of unexpired medicines, crowdfunding through Orange Money, and more. Orange Madagascar has already developed several products and services aimed at facilitating the daily life of professionals in the health sector. The company is the only telecommunications company in the world to have a department specifically dedicated to the health sector. For Orange Madagascar, health is a priority in its CSR objectives. After its Orange Solidarité Madagascar program set up last December, the company is showing that it intends to continue its policy of social responsibility.
