Dating App: 5 dating apps for singles!

Dating App

Ah Valentine’s Day, the day of lovers! This tradition, born during Antiquity, has continued to delight us in 2017… And yet, you are, this year again, alone, looking for a meaning to your loneliness. Have you ever thought to yourself that perhaps your soul mate is not as far away as that? That he or she was patiently waiting for you on the other side of a simple… app?

It’s not your fault that all your new encounters don’t turn into a beautiful love story, however, you may not be using the right method. Nowadays, if good old grandma’s recipes don’t work, don’t panic: download an app. Yes, dating applications are now sufficiently popular to allow you to find your partner, and more if you are in a relationship with him or her. To help you make the right choice, we’ve put together a small selection of the most popular dating apps, or those that bring something unique to the table.

Dating app

Tinder: it’s on or it’s off!

Dating app

First of all, the Tinder application requires you to have a Facebook account to activate it, and you must be at least 18 years old. Once activated, you can set up a concise profile that consists of a 500 character bio and up to six photos (preferably of you!). In concrete terms, Tinder displays a photo, a name and an age. You can tap on the photo to get more information about the person. You can also choose to swipe right (to like them), left (to move to the next). If there is a potential affinity, a message will appear to indicate a mutual interest, and invite you to send a message. Most of the time, the Tinder experience will consist of flipping through profiles like changing channels on TV.

Adopte Un Mec: welcome to the planet of women!

Dating app

“Adopt a Guy” is one of the biggest revolutions in online dating. The creators of the site clearly understood that women were being harassed from the moment they logged on to dating sites. From this observation, the principle of Adopte Un Mec was born with the condition that men cannot talk to women if the latter do not allow them to. The only thing they can do is send them a “charm”, which is a simple notification that they are interested. If the girl is interested, she can allow the boy to write to her, and if she is even more interested, she can put him in her virtual basket.

Meetic: love at everyone’s fingertips

The famous Meetic application is aimed at people who are a little more serious than on Tinder and Adopte Un Mec and on a slightly higher age bracket. The two previous applications are rather aimed at the under-thirties, although you can find everything in them. Meetic puts forward the idea of “making beautiful meetings”. Indeed, the application offers very classic services, messaging, advanced searches and live chat. It stands out for its Shuffle function, a system quite similar to the way Tinder works to get in touch with people.

Tastebuds: a matter of musical taste

Tastebuds is a dating app that highlights musical tastes to check compatibility. You can link it to your Facebook account or not, depending on your preferences. You can also make your profile as detailed or simplistic as you like. The character limits for each question, which are primarily music-centric, are quite high. Once launched, you can browse individual profiles to view all the information the user has included, including clips of songs by artists they like. You can “like” a person if you are interested in them, otherwise, “pass”. You can even send a user song or message before or after any correspondence.

Bumble: 24 hours to say Hi!

Bumble looks suspiciously like Tinder, but works a little differently. The big difference with Bumble is that once two people are compatible, it is the woman who has to send a message first. She has 24 hours to do so before their connection disappears. Men can extend their chances for 24 hours, if they really hope for a cuckoo from the lady. For those who wish to try something with the gentleman, it is in less than 24 hours. It’s also surprising that Bumble requires you to have a Facebook account to sign up – given that its main concern is to prevent scams, spam and other mischief makers from annoying its female users.

Hater: let’s hate together!

This new application, of the most original, unites you with other people who do not like the same things as you. According to New York Magazine The Cut, it’s a swipe-based app that encourages users to “swipe on everything from slow walkers to Donald Trump.” There are over 2000 topics to answer, including gluten-free and butt selfies, while expressing your opinion. Hater can build a profile based on your likes and dislikes. It will then begin to connect you with those who have similar preferences on everything that irritates you in humanity.

These apps are available on Android and iOS.

While we can’t promise that you won’t run into unwanted content or people, chance may place your prince or princess on one of these applications. In the meantime, we wish you good luck!
