CareerHub.mu is holding its Job & Education fair on April 1 and 2, 2017

If you are looking for a job, an internship, a university course or training: don’t miss the Job & Education fair. The event, organised by CareerHub.mu, will be held on Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 April at the Octave Wiehe Auditorium at the University of Mauritius. This is a great opportunity to get answers to questions about your career choice.

Many renowned institutions of higher education will be present, as well as training centres and recruitment companies. You will be able to interact with career counselling experts to get more details about your professional future. This Job & Education fair is for everyone: with or without experience, you will certainly find a job in the sector that interests you.

Interactive workshops and lectures will be organized to guide young Higher School Certificate (HSC) holders in their career choices. The aim is to guide them towards the right training or studies for their career choice and to succeed in the professional world.

In order to facilitate access to the Job & Education fair, the organisers of the event have chosen the University of Mauritius (UoM). Indeed, located in the center of the island, the UoM will allow those coming from Port-Louis or Plaine Wilhems to go to this forum more easily. In addition, transportation facilities will be made available to Mauritians who wish to participate.

“This Job & Education fair organized by CareerHub.mu will bring together more than 40 companies. These will be offering more than 1500 jobs in different sectors. Don’t forget to bring several copies of your CV, as the job interviews will take place on site.”

You will have the opportunity to go to the section dedicated to career guidance, where you will be able to discuss with CareerHub.mu advisors. Working in collaboration with CareerHub.mu, the ReadytoWork team from Barclays Bank will be present at this career forum. This group will help you make the transition from secondary to tertiary education, develop a career plan, and review your job prospects.

Those seeking training will be able to meet with representatives from the Human Resource Development Council (HRDC), the British Council and Talents, among others. They will offer you various free training courses that lead to jobs in the sectors in demand.

If you are looking for an internship in Mauritius or abroad, count on the AIESEC team to guide you. Together, you will discover the different internship opportunities locally and internationally.

Major employers will offer you job opportunities within their companies, as well as practical advice on job hunting.

“We hope that students and job seekers will come out of this event with a better understanding of the job market, have a better idea of where they want to go in life, land a job at the fair or embark on a career with a future,” said Fakruddin Mautbur events manager of CareerHub.mu.

See you on April 1 and 2 at the Octave Wiehe auditorium in Réduit!
